On Saturday the 10th Nov at 20:25 the ALB was launched to search the area to the north of the station after red flares were sighted.
The Tyne Class Lifeboat

Built in 1987 at Cowes was funded from the Beaverbrook foundation.

We have just taken delivery of a brand new Lifeboat IB1 the,
"Dorothy Beatrice May Gorman" after she generously funded the lifeboat, which was built at the Inshore Lifeboat Centre at East Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
This lifeboat replaces the "Criddy and Tom" that had served this station so well since 1996.
